We celebrated Briana's birthday with the grandparents. It was fun! Grandpa and Grandma Riffey were the surprise attendees. Judging by the squeals, I think it was worth their trip out! She had requested a chocolate layer cake; however, we improvised with a Dairy Queen cake. She was pleased and I was thankful! Being the delinquent parents that we are, Brett had yet to receive his birthday gift so we gave them both their 7 year birthday gifts that night. For those of you with the gift love language I apologize, but yes we gave them electric toothbrushes. I was nervous, but they were thrilled. It has been an experience training them to use them, but it will come!
I slipped this picture in so I did not have to do a separate post. We are participating in a small co-op this year. Our last co-op day was spent with the girls making pumpkin pies with real cooked, smashed pumpkins and the boys making a potato gun! Thank you, Dads, for taking the time to come help the boys. The girls did a great job on the pies. Briana was quite pleased to hear her Daddy say how "gooood" it was!
